Rudy is a 7 month old purebred yellow Labrador Retriever who recently found his way into rescue through no fault of his own.  Rudy is an extremely handsome fellow weighing in at about 75 lbs with a gorgeous yellow coat.  Rudy was purchased from a breeder as a puppy by a family who soon realized that they were not able to provide Rudy with the attention, exercise, and lifestyle he deserved.  Rudy is a fun loving typical Lab puppy that loves being part of a family, enjoys the presence of children, looks forward to his walks, has a blast playing with other dogs, and is a real "in love with life" pup.  He definitely is a young boy that has energy to burn so having another dog to play with and/or plenty of hikes, walks, or dog park outings will make him happy and content.  What we love most about Rudy is his excitement at meeting new people - everybody gets a big giant hug, licks, and kisses who crosses his path. He is more than friendly, he is the life of the party.  After playtime and exercise, Rudy is all about napping in his crate - he loves his crate and will go in it to hang out, chew on his favorite bone, or take a long snooze.  As gregarious and excitable that Rudy is, he also knows how to be gentle with the little ones.  Rudy would love to have people that play ball with him or play fetch in the pool, he's a wonderful retriever.  He is the perfect mixture of a "mama's boy" in that he loves to get belly rubs, kisses, and as much affection as possible - yet he also enjoys being "a guy's dog" rolling around in the grass with another dog or play wrestling with the men in the house.  Rudy would do best in a house/yard situation that will provide enough mental and physical stimulation and make him a treasured member of the family.  He is a little boy craving to love and be loved and can't wait to find his forever family. As any puppy, he will need training but he will be so worth it. Rudy's adoption fee is $500.
