Jolin is a six year old 35 lb mix breed black dog who is a true Hero. Jolin was kept by the rangers stationed in a national park in central Taiwan.  Jolin had been at her post since she was a young dog.  She is a keen dog, very intelligent and loyal.  Many times Jolin helped the rangers track down illegal animal trading activity in the mountains, locate the trapped animals and worked as a loyal companion with the rangers.  Recently, a devastating typhoon hit the area and the rangers’ post collapsed due to landslides.  Two rangers were severely buried, but fortunately Jolin’s barks called for the attention of the villagers and hunters.  The rangers were saved, but the post was totally destroyed.  The rangers were hospitalized, and there was no one left to take care of Jolin.  Poor Jolin was left alone in the dark mountain areas.  She saved two lives, but found herself all alone. Instead of being awarded any honor, Jolin was abandoned. Because she is a black dog and a senior, Jolin had no hope of ever finding a forever home in Taiwan. She came to our rescue in hopes that someone will recognize her for the sweet, loyal, gem that she is.
