I just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know how much we love Dante. He has really come a long way in a short period of time. He no longer chases the cat, now I frequently catch them taking naps together! He LOVES going to the dog park, we try to go at least once a week and he runs around like a madman chasing all the dogs. It’s been a pretty hot summer here so he is in the pool every day at least 3-4 times a night. He is so hilarious I took him for about a mile walk the other night… let him outside so he could go potty…I was in the restroom and he walks into the bathroom soaking wet from head to tail…apparently he jumped right into the pool….I told him he’s not allowed inside while he’s wet so he walks into the bedroom and shakes off gets a big ‘ole smile on his face and then walks out and rolls around on the concrete! Crazy Boy!! I did switch him to a gentle leader while walking him, he seems to respond much better to it than the choke chain. There’s just too many distractions in the neighborhood with all the cats, and squirrels running around. Overall, he is the most fabulous dog I have ever had or known!! He makes us laugh everyday! Here’s some recent pictures from our Father’s Day BBQ. It was the first swim party of the year and everyone had a great time. This was the first time that Dante didn’t use the stairs to go in and just jumped right in. He was going behind people that were sitting on the edge of the pool and trying to nudge them into the pool! He didn’t want anyone just sitting around…he wanted everyone to swim with him! Anyways, I hope you enjoy and keep in touch!   Heather

From rags to riches .. looks like Matilda (aka Tess) has a wonderful life ahead of her ...

Laura, thanks again for all the good work you do.  It seems that Yogi fit right in at home.  Of course, Jesse has to have her occasional outburst to let both other dogs know who’s boss, but she has actually been much mellower than we expected.  Joey (formerly Parker) is a little withdrawn, perhaps not yet knowing what to make of his childhood double.  They seem to have almost identical personalities.
